Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how PROVE iT! Forensics, LLC ("TAMPERLOGS," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the TAMPERLOGS website (tamperlogssecurity.com), waitlist, and, once available, the TAMPERLOGS platform (collectively, the "Service").
2. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Waitlist and contact information: name, email, company, role, and any message you submit through a waitlist or "Get a Demo" form.
- Account information (once the Service launches): login credentials, organization details, billing contact information.
- Customer Data: custody records, event logs, attachments, and related metadata that you or your users submit to the Service.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data such as pages visited, referring URL, browser/device type, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies, as described in Section 6.
Endpoint agent data (only where your organization enables it):
- If your organization's administrator enrolls a company-owned Windows device with the optional TAMPERLOGS endpoint agent, the agent reports OS-level security events from that device into your organization's TAMPERLOGS account: user logon/logoff, workstation lock/unlock, local user-account creation or deletion, changes to local security-group membership, USB storage device connection and disconnection, and attempted changes to the device's own Windows audit policy.
- The endpoint agent does not collect file contents, keystrokes, screen captures, browsing history, or network traffic.
- Enrollment is a deliberate action taken by your organization's own administrator on a company-owned device. It is not something an individual end user opts into directly through TAMPERLOGS, and your organization is responsible for providing any notice to its own personnel that applicable law requires before enrolling a device they use. See our Acceptable Use Policy, Section 3.
3. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To respond to waitlist signups, demo requests, and support inquiries.
- To send product, billing, and security-related communications.
- With your consent or as permitted by law, to send marketing communications (you may opt out at any time).
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, including violations of our Acceptable Use Policy.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
- Service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g., hosting, email delivery, analytics), under confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Affiliated PROVE iT! Forensics sub-brand products share a common backend for waitlist and lead handling; leads submitted through TAMPERLOGS are routed to sales@tamperlogssecurity.com and are not combined with other sub-brands' own funnel reporting.
- Professional advisors, regulators, or authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
- We do not sell personal information.
5. Customer Data
Where you use the Service to store custody records or other Customer Data on behalf of your organization (including data reported by the optional endpoint agent described in Section 2, where your organization has chosen to enroll devices), we act as a processor/service provider with respect to that data, and use it only to provide and support the Service and as instructed by you, except as required by law.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and (where applicable) marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Waitlist and marketing contact information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@tamperlogssecurity.com. [Jurisdiction-specific rights language, e.g., GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, to be added once target markets are confirmed.]
10. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. International transfers
If we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law. [Transfer mechanism, e.g., SCCs, to be specified once hosting/data-residency is finalized.]
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Site with an updated effective date.
